New Instruments!

Yay! Two new instruments!

1: CLARINET. Really easy after saxophone.

2: DRUMS. This too I find rather easy, I’m not sure why, since I don’t play any other percussion. I suppose I just have a good sense of rhythm. ūüôā

Chicago

I like being in a production, it’s so much fun! The opening night was on¬†Tuesday, and closing night is on Saturday. We have done two shows already, and the next ones are tonight, tomorrow, and the next day. It seems we only just started, and we are finishing in a few days!

In cell block tango, I always wondered what the Hungarian girl is saying. Well, I did some research, and, here is the translation:

What am I doing here? They say my notorious lover held down my husband and I chopped his head off. It’s untrue. I am innocent. I know not why Uncle Sam says i did it. I tried to explain at the police station but they did not understand what I am saying…

Really sad, right? But¬†no one understands her so they put her in jail! ūüė¶

It is still a really good musical! Post a comment! Tell me what you think!

Chicago

Yesterday Evening, I went to Chicago practice (AGAIN) and I got some Chicago posters from the conductor. The posters are all over the colleges, but none at my school. So today at lunch time I went around the school putting them EVERYWHERE!!! An A3 one in the hall window, an A4 one in every class room (all 17!), one in the Technology centre, one in the staff room and one in the office. They are all over the place now!

Me playing at a concert

Me playing at a concert, last year. from the side ūüė¶ I don’t look like that anymore.

That was me playing at a concert last year. I was playing “Swingin Shepherd Blues” on alto saxophone.

But that’s old news now. That was ages ago. Now I have totally new stuff going on in my life. Even though I’m only in intermediate, I’m in the girls college Jazz Band on alto saxophone!!!!!!!!!!! Also, every year the girls college and the boys college get together and put on a production for the town in the¬†theatre. This year, they are doing Chicago, the musical. And I get to be in the Orchestra with the rest of the college students, playing lead soprano saxophone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We¬†practice Loads. Tuesday night, ¬†7.00 pm to 9.30 pm, Wednesday or¬†Thursday¬†(sometimes both), 7.00 pm to 9.30 pm, Sunday afternoon, 2.00 pm until 6.00 pm! Plus on Monday evenings I have brass band and on¬†Friday¬†afternoons I have saxophone lessons and jazz band. Plus I also have to go to school! I mean really, what’s the point? School just gets in the way of LIFE!!!!!!!!!

Don’t forget to take look at my youtube channel!

I played in MaXFactor a few days ago. Everything well! I got through to the semifinals on my flute and saxophone. Or, as people at school call it, Saxamaphone. First round, I played Rolling In The Deep by Adele on sax and Lambada on flute. In the semifinals I played Mas Que Nada on flute and Good Vibrations by The Beach Boys on sax. I also got through to the finals, on friday. I am playing SOMETHING on the flute on flute and SOMETHING on the saxophone. I’m afraid I can’t tell you what I’m playing in case you are someone from school, but I’ll let you know after MaXFactor.

Keep an eye on my other blog, I’ll update soon. And don’t forget to have a look at my other blog! Click here to go straight there.

Tomorrow I am playing in MaXfactor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SCARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually, not really.

oh no. What on EARTH will I wear?!

Do you play an instrument? Do you want to play with backing music? I suggest the Guest Spot series. They do lots of different genres/artists, for all different instruments. Some of my favorites are Adele play-along for saxophone, The Beatles play-along for flute and Sixties Hits play-along for Saxophone.
